Who Should Attend?
This intermediate training is specifically designed for those who have completed Brainspotting Phase One live in person or live via video training with an approved Brainspotting Trainer.
It is ideal for mental health counselors, social workers, psychologists, addiction counselors and others in the healing and birth professions with strong clinical backgrounds, as well as students and interns who want to learn this powerful approach.
What is Brainspotting?
Brainspotting is a brain-based therapy based on the hypothesis that specific eye positions designated as “brainspots” activate and access specific areas of the midbrain that allow for the reprocessing and releasing of core neurophysiological reactions to trauma-related and other psychological experiences.
In addition, brainspotting is built on a model that emphasizes therapist-client presence and attunement in the healing process. As an open and integrative model, brainspotting is adaptable to many different areas of specialization and can be integrated with other treatment models.
Training Overview: In this 3-day intermediate Brainspotting training, participants will learn five additional brainspotting techniques that build on the techniques taught in Phase 1.
Phase 2 training Includes:
-Extensive review of Phase 1 techniques & foundational skills to increase client connection -Introduction to several brainspotting applications that assist with client regulation, resourcing, those who struggle with focus and sustained attention, and those who struggle to feel sensations in their body -Techniques taught with PowerPoint lecture, discussion with in depth question and answer sessions, live demonstrations and practicums to practice the skills.

Learning Objectives:
In this 3-day phase Brainspotting training, participants will:
- Review components taught in Brainspotting Phase 1 (Outside and Inside Window and Gazespotting)
- Define and Utilize Dual Attunement Frame
- Review the components of Brainspotting
- Demonstrate and use One-Eye Brainspotting
- Demonstrate and use Three Dimensional Z-Axis and Convergence Therapy
- Demonstrate and use Rolling Brainspotting
- Demonstrate and use combined Inside-Outside Brainspotting
- Demonstrate and use Second Level of the Advanced Resource Model
- Utilize the techniques of “One-Eye Brainspotting,” “Z-Axis,” “Rolling Brainspotting,” “Inside-Outside Brainspotting” and the “Advanced Resource Model of Brainspotting.”
- Define how Brainspotting can be applied to Trauma, Dissociation, Perinatal Trauma, Somatic conditions
- Demonstrate the theories and practices of Brainspotting
